Chloe Bayliss is a 2008 graduating Diploma student of the National College of Dance
Chloe Bayliss
Chloe Bayliss began dancing at the age of 3 at La Vivie Classique, Port Macquarie, with Elizabeth Polsen. In 2006 she moved to Newcastle to train under Marie Walton Mahon. In 2007 she completed her Certificate IV in Dance Performance at the National College of Dance, and completed the majority of her Diploma in Dance Performance in 2008 at the National College of Dance. Chloe has completed all her Royal Academy of Dance examinations with Distinction, and qualifies to attempt her Solo Seal in 2009.
In 2008 Chloe won first place in the Open Age Contemporary Section of the McDonalds Performing Arts Challenge (Sydney Eisteddfod), using her own choreography. Also in 2008 she took part in a program with student composers at the Sydney Conservatorium, under the guidance of Marilyn Jones and Garth Welch. Chloe was also responsible for the choreography and organisation of the Under 12 Contemporary Group who performed at the Sydney Opera House.
Chloe was preparing to take up a place with the Washington Ballet School however, due to serious illness she will defer until August 2009, taking the time in early 2009 for rehabilitation and the completion of her Diploma Course. She is looking forward to further teaching and choreography work at MWM Dance.
Chloe's dream is to pursue a career in dance, not forgetting her love of choreography.
